Respect for the environment is a value closely linked to the essence of Klabin's business. The Company is a global leader in responsible management, maintaining 42% of its forest area for the preservation and maintenance of biodiversity. Its production chain is integrated with wood, for pulp, paper and packaging, or sold to the market, from planted pine and eucalyptus forests.

In addition to its own wood, the Company also runs Plante com a Klabin (Plant with Klabin), aimed at developing producers in the region. The program benefits the entire supply chain, generating income distribution by not concentrating ownership over all the wood available; the development of companies providing forestry and harvesting services; and economic diversification for producers within the same property.

Klabin enhances its supply planning processes with the concepts of Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP), Sales and Operation Execution (S&OE) and Control Tower (a concept that seeks to provide logistical intelligence and integration). The initiatives contribute to collaborative planning, which involve the forestry areas as well as the strategic focal points of the manufacturing units.
